CONSTRUCTION

Base: Blank GP2 bitmap.
Editors used:	Windows Paint, Paint.NET
Known bugs:	Some flickering now and then.
Build time:	Five hours(ish).

INSTALLATION

This might seem a bit long-winded and daunting, but don't worry, it's easy-ish.
Open Paint.NET (download it if you don't have it, it's free and very useful).
Open the template file.
You will notice several layers. They're all pretty self-explanatory. You just need to use the ones with "EDIT THIS" in their names. These are: Livery 1, Livery 2, Adverts, and Window Detail.
First, select Livery 1, and paint your chosen colours onto the car. The shading, wheels, windows etc will remain unaffected as they're all on separate layers.
Next, select Livery 2. This contains the colour of the wheels. Simply re-paint the silver bits in the wheels. Don't worry that you can't actually see any wheel detail, we'll get to this later.
Now select Adverts, and paste or paint your adverts and car numbers onto the car.
Next, select Window Detail. On this will be the stickers that carry the adverts on the windcreen of the car. You can change the colour of these and put adverts on them in this layer.
Now, have a look through the layers until you find the ones that begin with "Wheels". If there's more than one of these, simply check the box next to the layer name to select the wheels you want.
Once you've done all this, go back to the Adverts layer. Click "merge layer down", then select Livery 2 and click "merge layer down" again.
Now go to Image > Flatten. This will merge all the layers into a single layer.
Next, go to Image > Resize, check the "by percentage" circle, replace the 100% with 50 and click OK.
Now, press CTRL+A, followed by CTRL+C to copy the image to the clipboard.
Open MS Paint (the one that comes with Windows), and open an existing GP2 bitmap (if you don't have one, open GP2Edit, click the "Car Bitmap" button, then "Save As" - this will give you a GP2 bitmap).
With this image open, press CTRL+V, then save the image (make sure the file type is 256 colour bitmap).
Now load that image into GP2Edit, and export it.

* IMPORTANT - you must also install the Super 2000 carshape! The BMW uses shape 1 (low nose). *

COPYRIGHT

None of that rubbish, use whatever you like, just give me credit if you do use anything of mine.
Rob, steal and pillage as you wish. That's the idea of the template!

I'm not responsible for anything yadda yadda yadda...
A carset's not likely to affect anything on your computer so I wouldn't worry too much!
